Desktop U58 running on batterie

My U58 seem to run always on battery. I am using some applications that do not work, if the pc is running on battery. Why is my U58 signalling, that it is running on battery. I have installed Windows 11 and Linux too and asked the battery state with acpi. It shows the DC-Adapter is offline. But it can not be offline, because the pc ist running. My other pc shows the adaper is online.

If I start a boinc-client it stops working with the notification "task stopped-because running on battery".

All other functions are working well! Only some apps stop running, because they don´t work when the pc is running on battery. Is there a configuration fault in the BIOS?

I know, that there is no battery! It works well with the power adapter. So it must be "on-line", but the software recognizes, that the power adapter seems to be "off-line". On linux I can ask the adapter with the command "acpi -a". The answer is "adapter 0: off-line". On my other desktop-PC this adapter is always "on-line". Only my Laptop, who has a battery, shows the adapter "off-line", if I plug the power adapter off and the Laptop is running on battery. If the power adapter is plugged in, "adapter 0:" is on-line.
I am using software that will not run, if a PC is running on battery. It stops working, if it detects that the PC is not connected to a power adapter and shows a message "running on Battery" or in german language "Angehalten-Batteriebetrieb".

Is there a possibility to enable/disable the support for the power adapter in the BIOS, a jumper or a dipswitch?
